I was extremely surprised last night, when I found out I had gotten primium membership from this site. Since I don't have a credit card and can't do it on my own, I am really wondering who this person is, so I can thank him or her. In case it is a mistake, feel free to put me backto my standard membership. So please feel free to reply here or write to me privately. Thanks again to whoever did this.

Doing something nice for someone and not coming forward to get praise and thanks is truly an unselfish act. Most people want praise, and some people only do nice things when they think it will benefit them in some way.

that's so cool, goes to show there are still some good people out there,

Deffenetly, so IO guess this is another way of showing my gratitude to them.

I only know of one other person on this site who got a premium membership. It was one of his friends who decided to do it. No reasons.

So there might not even be a reason for this. Just be happy you got it, as not many on here would get one from someone they know or may not know.

Wow, Goodgirl! It's the great Zone mystery! Is this type of thing common around here? I think it's cool that they have it set up so one person can buy premium memberships for another.

Post 13 by Blue Velvet (I've got the platinum golden silver bronze poster award.) on Wednesday, 18-Oct-2006 6:47:39

I don't think it's common, but there was a post a long time ago from someone else who said she had become premium without having bought it for herself and didn't know who her benefactor was.

Yes, I think Chrisme also posted such a message a few days ago, on another board.

Post 15 by Chris N (I just keep on posting!) on Wednesday, 18-Oct-2006 12:26:39

Personally I think it's kind of neat that one person can buy premium for another, and then decide whether or not to reveal who they are.

Hey! I just found out who this person is. Actually, it is a very good friend of mine that I am chatting with called sister Don. She just told me because she knes I wa really curious, so please give her a great aploz and say hello if you ever come across her. See, it was not a guy at all! (Smile)

that's still really cool

Post 18 by blbobby (Ooo you're gona like this!) on Wednesday, 18-Oct-2006 23:17:39

That's great.

Sister Dawn should get the "good samaritan" for the month, or maybe year? While the rest of us debate high-sounding topics like culture, religion, death and blindness, you, with one stroke of kindness prove that we humans are still a decent lot. and undo a lot of the selfishness and cynicism here. (I'm not excluding myself from the selfish and synical.).

Just my thoughts.

Hi, folks. No, I definitely don't get the good Samaritan award. Smile. Goodgirl is a friend, and it made me happy to get the premium membership for her. I wouldn't have said anything at all, but I got the sense that it was almost bothering her not to know. My intent hadn't been to worry her or make her die of curiosity. So, anyway, I guess my cover's blown. Grin.

Whatever you say Saint Dawn. You're still tops in my books.

The fact that you intended to remain anonymous impresses me, but I can understand why you eventually spoke up. That was also an act of kindness just as the gift was. You are both lucky to have good friends.
